Next Steps in my Project!

So today was my last day at the Create, Make and Learn Institute.  I had such a great week and learned so much!  I'm now contemplating the next steps in my final project.  Today I was able to make a wonderful Jitterbug with Cynthia Day's instruction and I had a blast!  Initially I was going to video tape myself in front of a green screen for my final project but I'm thinking it might be fun to make a couple of Jitterbugs to star in my video instead!  My new idea is to make a video of my jitterbugs, each will have a different piece of artwork that I create behind them and they will be introduced in the video.  I will also make music, perhaps a small clip for each bug.  Getting excited to start working on this!  Here is a photo of my Jitterbug and then a quick video I edited in iMovie of my dog interacting with it!

Garage Band....

So it's been a very hectic week with all of this learning, creating and making going on.  I haven't had much time to blog.  I am so exhausted at night that I just want to go to bed.  But before I head off to do that tonight I wanted to make sure that I posted about my experience today.  I had the great pleasure of learning how to use Garage Band today and was able to create a song by the end of the session.  Here is a link to my silly little song!

I was surprised at how easy it was to use garage band once I got the hang of it.  I look forward to making music for my final project video!

Starting my Project

I've been thinking about what I should explore for my project for the Create, Make and Learn Summer Institute.  I've been throwing around some ideas in my head regarding my personal artwork and some of the great things I have learned so far this week.  I'm really excited about learning more about the green screen process and how it all works on my own.  I think this will be the main focus for my project.  My initial idea is to use my artwork as a backdrop and video myself in front of it.  I'm hoping by the end of the week I will have knowledge regarding garage band so that I can create a soundtrack for my video.  I also would like to explore using the Do Ink app to create animations to incorporate into my video.
Here is a video I made yesterday using the green screen, just starting to learn how to use it!
